Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett reported that the following people were recently sentenced in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

Raymond Hill, 63, of Towanda, Pa., was sentenced to imprisonment in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for five days to six months, fines of $1,500.00; he will also lose his driver’s license for 12 months, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol. Trooper Taylor Smith of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Hill following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wysox Township.

Brandon Heskell, 30, of Ulster, Pa., was sentenced to fines of $250.00, plus court costs, and restitution of $150.00 for the offense of Theft. Corporal Norman Strauss of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Heskell following investigation of an incident that occurred in Windham Township.

Robert Johnson Jr., 51, of Laceyville, Pa., was sentenced to incarceration in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 45 days followed by 45 days of restricted supervision including electronic monitoring, followed by County Intermediate Punishment for 24 months; County Intermediate Punishment involves a combination of restrictions and supervision. It may include home confinement, electronic monitor, and substance abuse treatment. Violations can result in incarceration. There will be fines of $1,500.00, plus court costs, he will also lose his driver’s license for 18 months, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Marijuana. Trooper George Jones of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Johnson following investigation of an incident that occurred in Stevens Township.

Christopher Lee Gates, 31, of Monroeton, Pa., was sentenced to incarceration in a Pennsylvania State Correctional Faculty for 14 months to 39 months, fines of $1,650.00, restitution of $1,000.00, plus court costs, he will also lose his driver’s license for 12 months, consecutive to 20 days to 23 months on his other cases for a total of 14 months, 20 days to 55 months, for the offenses of Fleeing Police, Driving under the Influence, Assault and Reckless Endangering. Officer Joshua Lake of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Gates for the offense occurring on Oct. 3, 2016.

Justin Arnold, 35, of Wyalusing, Pa., was sentenced to Probation Supervision for a term of six months, plus court costs, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol. Trooper Jacob Burgess of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Arnold following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wysox Township.

Christopher Lafritz, 30, of Waverly, N.Y., was sentenced to Probation Supervision for a term of 12 months, fines of $700.00, restitution of $170.00, plus court costs, for the offense of Criminal Trespass, felony of the second degree, Theft by Unlawful Taking, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Sergeant Keith Stackhouse of the Athens Township Police Department arrested Lafritz for the offenses occurring on June 2016.

Ricky D. Gowin Jr., 31, Mehoopany, Pa., was sentenced to incarceration in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 15 days to three months, fines of $1,600.00, restitution of $800.00, consecutive to other sentences imposed in other counties to a total of four months to 21 months, followed by 48 months of Probation, for the offense of Theft by Deception. Trooper Brandon Allis of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Gowin following investigation of an incident that occurred in Tuscarora Township.

Desmond Fitzgerald, 21, from Towanda, Pa., was sentenced to incarceration in the Bradford County Correctional Facility for 15 days to 60 days, fines of $200.00, Fitzwater had been sentenced to probation but failed to comply with the conditions. Probation was revoked and the case was set for resentencing; for the offenses of Burglary, Criminal Trespass, three counts of Theft by Unlawful Taking, and three counts of Receiving Stolen Property. Sergeant David Lantz of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Fitzgerald for the offenses occurring on April 14, 2016.

Jessica Gowin, 27, Columbia Cross Roads, Pa., was sentenced to fines of $150.00, plus court costs, for the offense of Furnish Tobacco to a Minor. Trooper Caroline Rayeski of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Gowin following investigation of an incident that occurred in Sylvania Borough.

Darryl Liberati, 52, Canton, Pa., was sentenced to State Intermediate Punishment for 24 months; State Intermediate Punishment is a two year program. It begins with at least seven months of regular state prison, followed by custody in a drug/alcohol addiction center, followed by restricted living in a residential program. The prison administration must be satisfied that the prisoner will be dismissed from S.I.P. and resentenced. If the S.I.P. program is completed, the prisoner will be under probation supervision for two additional years and checked regularly for drug or alcohol use. If he violated during those two years, probation will be revoked and if there is a violation more incarceration will be imposed. Liberati will pay fines of $500.00, plus court costs, he will also lose his driver’s license for 18 months, for the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Sergeant Trey Kurtz of the Canton Borough Police Department arrested Liberati for the offense occurring on March 10, 2016.

District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett reported that the following persons recently pleaded guilty in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

Duane Walter Jr., 30, Troy, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Attempted Deliver of Counterfeit Methamphetamine, a felony. Walter will be sentenced on May 15, 2017, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Michael Adams of the Pennsylvania State Police Department arrested Walter following investigation of an incident that occurred in Ulster Township.

Justin P. Arnold, 35, Wyalusing, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, misdemeanor. Arnold will be sentenced on March 27, 2017, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Jacob Burgess of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Arnold following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wysox Township.

Stephen P. Woodruff, 32, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offenses of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Woodruff will be sentenced on May 15, 2017, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper George Jones of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Woodruff following investigation of an incident that occurred in Standing Stone Township.

Patricia Briar, 21, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Simple Assault, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Briar will be sentenced on May 15, 2017, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation. Officer Nikki Hoffman of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Briar for the offense in September 2016.

Jerry Bockus-Cook, 54, Kingsley, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of a Controlled Substance, a misdemeanor. Bockus-Cook will be re-sentenced on May 15, 2017, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Bockus-Cook was placed in the ARD diversionary program but failed to comply with the program. The ARD was revoked and Bockus-Cook pleaded guilty. Officer Corey McLinko of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Bockus-Cook for the offense in April 2015.

Jessica Gowin, 27, Columbia Cross Roads, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Furnishing Tobacco to a Minor, a summary offense. Gowin was sentenced on March 28, 2017. Trooper Caroline Rayeski of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Gowin following investigation of an incident that occurred in Sylvania Borough.

Robert Monro, 43, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Simple Assault, a misdemeanor of the second degree, Harassment, a summary offense, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Monro will be sentenced on June 12, 2017, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Travis Snyder of the Sayre Borough Police Department arrested Monro for the offense in September.

Joseph D. Dean, 26, Sayre, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Statutory Sexual Assault, a felony of the first degree. Dean will be sentenced on a later date, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department, and a review and report by the Pennsylvania Sexual Assessment Board. Officer Nathan Ross of the Sayre Police Department arrested Dean for the offense on October.

Kevin Jayne, 32, Wyalusing, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Obstructing, a misdemeanor of the second degree. Jayne will be sentence on June 13, 2017, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Robert Kirby of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Jayne following investigation of an incident that occurred in Towanda Township.

Steven Stack, 36, Burlington, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Failure to Comply with Registration Requirement, a felony of the second degree. Stack will be sentenced on June 12, 2017, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Miranda Musick of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Stack following investigation of an incident that occurred in North Towanda Township on June 21, 2016.

Zachery Lantz, 19, South Pines, N.C., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Simple Assault, a misdemeanor of the second degree, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a misdemeanor. Lantz will be sentenced on June 12, 2017, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Michael Lamanna of the Towanda Borough Police Department arrested Lantz for the offense on July 9, 2016.

Shelby Spencer, 24, Troy, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Harassment, a summary offense. Spencer will be sentenced on June 2, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Albert Levanavage of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Spencer following investigation of an incident that occurred in Troy Township. Trooper Jacob Burgess of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Lantz following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wyalusing Township on Dec. 23, 2016.

Adam Hall Jr., 20, Laceyville, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor. Hall will be sentenced on June 12, 2017, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Trooper Jacob Burgess of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Hall following investigation of an incident that occurred in Wyalusing Borough.

Tina Maldanado-Aguilar, 33, Canton, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Causing an Accident Resulting in Injury while not licensed, a felony of the third degree, Simple Assault, and Recklessly Endangering, both misdemeanors of the second degree. Maldanado-Aguilar will be sentenced on June 12, 2017, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Officer Dalton Spencer of the Canton Police Department arrested Maldanado-Aguilar for the offenses in September.

Dana Cabucci, 49, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of guilty to the offense of Driving while under the Influence of Alcohol, a misdemeanor and Disorderly Conduct. Cabucci will be sentenced on June 12, 2017, following preparation of a presentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. Troopers Justin Landsiedel and Cody Scepaniak of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Cabucci following investigation of incidents that occurred in Wyalusing Borough and Albany Township.

Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett reports that the following person(s) was recently accepted into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD) Program in the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, Towanda:

Ashley Fisk, 31, Towanda, Pa., charged with the offense of False Statement to Authorities, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of nine months. While on probation Fisk will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Trooper James Dughi of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Fisk for an offense on June in Athens Borough.

Kari Ann Knapp, 22, Monroeton, Pa., charged with the offense of Retail Theft, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of nine months. While on probation Knapp will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Officer Denny Slater of the Athens Township Police Department filed the charges in November for the offense in Athens Township.

Victor Godinez, 35, Ulster, Pa., charged with the offense of Driving under the Influence of Alcohol, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of nine months. While on probation Godinez will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department which supervision will include monitoring for drugs or alcohol use. Additionally, Godinez must perform community service with the DUI Litter Brigade and attend a Victim Impact Panel and he will lose his Pennsylvania driving privilege for 30 days. Trooper Taylor Smith of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Godinez for the offense in September in Ulster Township.

Holly Pollock, 32, Troy, Pa., charged with the offense of Access Device Fraud, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of nine months. While on probation Pollock will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department which supervision will include monitoring for drugs or alcohol use. Officer Ralph Dooley of the Troy Police Department filed the charges in July for the offense in Troy Borough.

Danna Stedge, 20, Columbia Cross Roads, Pa., charged with the offense of Forgery, was accepted into ARD Program and place on probation for a term of nine months. While on probation Stedge will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Officer Brian Bellows of the Towanda Police Department filed the charges in October for the offense in Towanda Borough.

Misty Shadduck, 41, Warren Center, Pa., charged with the offense of Reckless Endangering, was accepted into the ARD Program and placed on probation for a term of 12 months. While on probation Shadduck will be subject to supervision by the Bradford County Probation Department which supervision will include monitoring for drug or alcohol use. Trooper Jeffrey Grimes of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Shadduck for an offense on Aug. 3, 2016, in Rome Borough.

Bradford County District Attorney Daniel J. Barrett reported that the following entered a plea of “no contest.” The plea has the same effect as a guilty plea. It is entered when a defendant cannot recall the crime charged.

Joy Simons-Bayles, 43, Towanda, Pa., entered a plea of nolo contendere/no contest to, Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, a felony offense. Simons-Bayles will be sentenced on June 12, 2017, following preparation of a pre-sentence report by the Bradford County Probation Department. A no-contest plea is entered where the defendant cannot recall the event but will be held guilty and sentenced. Trooper Caroline Rayeski of the Pennsylvania State Police arrested Simons-Bayles following investigation of an incident that occurred in Ulster Township.
