PennDOT removes weight restriction on section of Lake Road in Bradford County

MONTOURSVILLE — PennDOT advises motorists in Bradford County that a weight restriction has been removed from a section of Route 1029 (Lake Road) because of upgrades made by the gas industry.

The current 10-ton posting was removed on Lake Road from the intersection with Route 287 (Rome Road) to the north end of Route 1031 (Wesauking Drive) in Wysox Township.

The entire length of Lake Road is now unposted due to improvements by the gas industry and PennDOT.

Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 770 traffic cameras.
