Good reading, Greg

Just want to say thank you again for Gregory Maresca’s Talking Points column in Monday’s paper. Always a good read with Gregory Maresca. Keep the columns coming.

Would you rather . . .

Look, if I was given the choice between being forced to watch CNN or MSNBC news for a week or sitting in an electric chair, I would choose to sit in the electric chair. They are that bad.

Guess who

“I hate lawyers who tell me I can’t do this or can’t do that.” Who said that? Was it Al Capone? John Gotti? Carlos Marcello? Vito Genovese? Carmine “The Snake” Persico? Wrong. It was Donald Trump. That man’s entire career has effectively been one long legal entanglement. He knows something about breaking laws. USA Today tallied up all the lawsuits that Trump and his companies were involved in in just the last 30 years. The final count was 4,095. Let’s start chanting “Lock him up.”

UK better for babies

To the person who claims that preemies in the UK are left to die: you must be using the Trump playbook, which is lie, lie, lie. The UK provides good health care to all of its citizens. The infant mortality rate is 4.3 per 1,000 births, while in the United States, it’s 5.97 per 1,000 births. The maternal mortality rate is .09 per 1,000 in the UK and 1.4 per 1,000 in the U.S. It looks like we could learn something from their system.

Not-so-free programs

Part of a comment from a mal-informed lefty Liberal made about right-wing Conservatives encouraged poor people to have children by defunding Planned Parenthood. Maybe these concerned lefties should be generously funding Planned Parenthood and not looking for freebies from the government. Seems they have plenty of free time while us Conservatives have to go to work to pay for all of these free programs. Make America great again. Make America strong again. Support our president.

Burning banter

Regarding burning in Monroeton. I have lived there for 40 years and I believe that the people who are outdoor burners have become more responsible over time. There were once some residents who burned garbage regularly. They either moved away or got the message. I almost never get a whiff of something being burned that shouldn’t be. To my knowledge, there’s no place you can recycle plain paper.
