Tunkhannock takes down Athens in District 15 final

ATHENS — The Tunkhannock 10-11 baseball squad defeated Athens 14-4 to win the District 15 title on Friday.

For Athens, Kaden Rowe had two hits, including a double and an RBI; Eli Chapman also hit a double and scored a run; Tyler Roe had a hit and a run; and Kaiden Hyjeck scored two runs.

Rowe started the game on the mound for Athens and struck out three in three innings of work.

For Tunkhannock, Michael Voker had a double and two runs and Owen Stretch and Andrew Roxby combined for five walks and six runs scored.

Roxby started the game for Tunkhannock and struck out two in three innings.
