Subway to re-open in Wyalusing

Subway restaurants announced recently that their restaurant in the Wyalusing Creek Plaza on Route 6 in Wyalusing reopened on Feb. 9 after being forced to close in September when Tropical Storm Lee hit the greater Wilkes-Barre area.

"We are thrilled to be able to reopen this store after the devastating flood waters destroyed it," said Abbie Lin Muto, Vice President of Subway Development of Eastern PA, Inc.

"We are thankful to all of our loyal customers for their continued support throughout this time of rebuilding," said Subway store owner, Lynda Green. "We want to thank the community for their support and patience as we rebuilt by offering buy-one-get-one-free 6" and footlong subs all day. The help we received after the water subsided was overwhelming. When we arrived at the store to start gutting it, there was a large group of people there, ready and willing to help. It was awesome."
