The Waverly boys land landed six No. 1 Seeds for Saturday's IAC Championships to be held at Waverly High School's new pool while Lansing has 5 top seeds.
Waverly's Jeff Mastrantuono is the top seed in the 100 breaststroke (:59.44) an event in which he has won at the IAC meet in 2009, 2010, and 2011. He is also the top seed in the 100 freestyle (:48.43) and is the two-time defending IAC Champion in the event having won in 2010 and 2011. Sophomore, John Hallett is seeded first in the 50 freestyle (:23.12) and second in the 100 backstroke (:59.41).
Waverly is seeded first in all 3 relays: Medley (1:45.61), 200 free relay (1:31.53), and 400 free relay (3:35.73). Waverly also secured the top four seeds in the 100 breaststroke with Brighton Wood seeded second (1:07.15), Josh Mastrantuono seeded third (1:09.47), and Tanner Burt seeded fourth (1:11.09).

Zach Rynone seeded second in both the 200 IM and 100 fly, Josh Mastrantuono seeded third in the 200 free, James Rynone seeded fourth in both the 200 IM and 100 free, and Brighton Wood seeded fifth in the 100 fly. Nick Peterson and eighth grader Brody Sprague will compete in the diving competition which begins at 10 a.m.
