Williamson wraps up NTL small-school title

The Williamson Warriors defeated North Penn 54-30 on Thursday, wrapping up the NTL small-school title in the process.

At 106 Williamson's Carl Gorg won by forfeit and the Warriors' Tyrus Hamblin won by forfeit at 113.

Jake Myers of North Penn won by fall in 3:30 over Herman Briggs and at 126 Trevor McWhorter of Williamson pinned Devin Remley in 2:13.

Williamson's Logan Everett pinned Kenny Creamer in 2:42, while Williamson's Billy Barnes (138) won by forfeit.

Williamson's Anthony Saxbury pinned Lucas Groover in 3:29 at 145. North Penn's Ben Jackson pinned Mike Lawless in 1:53 at 152. Williamson's R.C. Hunter pinned Skye Stiner in the first period at 160 and at 170 North Penn's Rob Minnich pinned Mike Presto in 3:56.

Williamson's Mark Brennan (182) and Dakota Bolt each won by forfeit. North Penn's Nathan Stettler pinned Macory Button in 1:32 at 220 and at 285 North Penn's Nate Kriner won by forfeit.

Canton 52, Sayre 22

The Canton Warriors notched a victory over Sayre in NTL wrestling action on Thursday.

Sayre's James Lee won by fall in 5:41 over Dylan Marbaker at 106 and Canton's Daniel Killian (113), Zach Pettigrew (120) and Brooks Gleckner (126) all won by forfeit.

Sayre's Jesse Buck won by major decision 16-8 over Darren Killian at 132 and at 138 Travis Butcher of Canton won by major decision 16-4 over Justin Boockoff.

Sayre's Kyle Post won 5-3 over Jacob Butcher at 145 and at 152 Lucas Simonis of Sayre won 4-0 over Spencer Castle.

Canton's Jordan Campbell won by fall in 2:50 over Chris Ott at 160 and at 170 Canton's Tyler Cole won by fall in 1:00 over James Harbst.

Canton's Chase Pepper (182), Garrett Wesneski (195) and Connor Route (220) all won by forfeits and Sayre's Zach Ceece (285) won by forfeit.

Troy 60, NEB 13

The Trojans cruised to an NTL victory on Thursday night.

The match started at 195 where Northeast Bradford's Richard Forbes won 7-3 over Blair Bennett.

Troy's Briar Jenkins got the pin at 220 in 1:34 over Cody Clark, before Northeast Bradford's Dallas VanDerMark pinned Skylar Drake in 2:40 at 285.

Troy's Ethan Calkins (106), Jared Spalding (113), Chad Vermilya (120), Clint Vermilya (126) and Cyle Ercolino (132) all won by forfeit.

Northeast Bradford's Zack Green won by major decision 14-2 over Nick Bruce at 138 and Troy's Nick Stephani won by forfeit at 145.

Troy's Josh Tedesco won 16-11 over Austin Saxer at 152 and the Trojans' Blake Colton won 8-3 over Brandon Devonshire at 160.

Troy's Landis Zimmerman won by fall in 1:26 over Lukas Slater at 170 and at 182 Troy's Chance Lantz won by fall in 1:44 over Brice Myers.

South Williamsport's Griffin Molino won by forfeit at 106 and Sullivan County's Shawn Nitcznski won by forfeit at 113.

Sullivan County's Brian Smith won 5-0 over Ryan Seagrave at 132 and at 138 the Griffin's Logan Wiles won by fall in 2:48 over Kile Banzhof.

The Griffins' Tim Kramer won by fall in 3:47 over Zachariah Staver at 145 and at 152 Dane Woodruff of Sullivan County won by fall in 2:48 over Logan Garvey.
